I'm usually scared to death to go to the dentist, esp a new one...I felt comfortable at your office by the end of my visit. Jonathan Campbell is the best. He alyays has taken the time to really listen and understand any questions or fears that I have. And his team is incredible. Most friendly girls in the world. I had not been to the dentist in over five years. Previous dentists frightened me and were cold and lacked personality. I am so happy I went to Legacy Dental. I was even able to go in the same day I called for an appt. I love the fact that you offer payment plans. All the staff were so friendly and respectful. I was so impressed with all of you. I probably could have and maybe should have gone to someone who takes my insurance, but from the minute I walked in I was put at ease. I have an unbelievable fear of dentists, since I was very young. Your staff and dentist helped me feel comfortable. Thank you for the immediate nitrous! I had a dental emergency on a Saturday and found that Legacy was the only place open. When I got there the staff was very cheerful and did not seem at all put out to be working on a Saturday. Dr. Young was wonderful. He explained things very well and did his utmost to keep me comfortable. I was very pleased with my visit. Everyone was great. I am sorry I don't remember names. I hate going to the dentist and I know I am bad at taking care of my teeth, but I was so relaxed and felt comfortable there. It was the best experience I have ever had thank you so much. It was also nice to be able to have a payment plan. My husband lost his job in December and he just started a new one about a month ago it was such a relief to know that I could have my tooth temp. fixed and know that I could also not have to worry about it costing a fortune that we just don't have at this time. Galen V. Campbell, DDS, FAGD

Galen Campbell has been practicing dentistry for 30+ years in Salt Lake City. He continues to be a student of dentistry, keeping up to date on the latest and best techniques and materials. This year he will recieve his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry an award given for completion of 500 hours of continuring education. He loves his patients and they love him. He is active in his church calling leading young men. He also enjoys fishing, theater, and video and sound editing. He has raised 4 great kids and has 8 grandkids and one on the way. He is married to Susan Larsen Campbell, of Salt Lake City. Jonathan Campbell is his son.

I have been a dentist for almost 11 years. I went to Cottonwood High School, here in Salt Lake City, then the University of Utah, and then Creighton University for Dental School. I am married to Melanie Welch of Murray. We have 4 great kids. I also enjoy computers, skiing, and vacationing with my family. Galen Campbell is my dad. It has been an honor and privilege working alongside him.

I really enjoy being a dentist. I love to have a patient come in, who worries that we can't help them or that it might be uncomfortable, and then they fall asleep in the chair or are able to laugh while we work and they watch a movie. I also really enjoy helping people with tricky cosmetic dental issues. Seeing someone be able to smile confidently again is a real pleasure.

Justin Nylander, DMD

Dr. Justin Nylander is a newcomer to Utah. Dr. Nylander's early life was spent moving often as a result of him growing up in a military family. The many moves allowed him to see many parts of the United States and the world. Much of his life was spent outside the United States living in various locations including Panama, Germany, and Argentina. He has also lived in many states throughout the U.S. and has thoroughly enjoyed the variety of people and environments that came along with living in so many places.
Dr. Nylander graduated high school in San Antonio, Texas where he was active in academic, athletic and extracurricular activities. After high school Dr. Nylander served a mission for his church and was able to learn the Spanish language. Dr. Nylander resumed his education and graduated from Oregon State University where he was able to achieve various awards and scholarships and continue to be involved in athletics and service activities.
After college Dr. Nylander attended dental school at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He enjoys dentistry because of the "opportunities you have to interact with and help people, and how there is always something new that you can learn about." He has found that each day can provide something new and exciting and hopes that he can continue to provide the best possible care to his patients here at Legacy Dental.
